EANC 2018 ELECTIONS / ERKÜ VALIMISED

General elections for EANC’s XXII Council will take place this year.  Members are elected for four years.  31 candidates submitted applications.  EANC’s annual meeting will be held on Nov. 3-4, 2018, in Philadelphia.

Ballots will be sent to all addresses in the EANC database.  If you are receiving this Teataja newsletter, then you will receive a ballot.  Please notify Linda Rink of any address changes as soon as possible! (Contact: erku@estosite.org or 215-546-5863).  Jüri Tint is chair of the Election Committee.

You can download a ballot and instructions.

Put the ballot by itself in a plain envelope and write on it “BALLOT”.  Then sign the instruction letter and mail it, together with the BALLOT envelope, to: Juri Tint, PO Box 2415, East Hampton, NY 11937, by June 30, 2018.

Eesti Rahvuskomitee Ühendriikides XXII Esinduskogu valimised toimuvad sel kevadel jLiikmed on valitud neljaks aastaks ja saavad kokku vähemalt kord aastas eelmise aasta aruannete kinnitamiseks, algava aasta eelarve ja tegevuskava vastuvõtmiseks. Aastakoosolek toimub sügisel: 3-4 november, Philadelphias.

Valimiste Peakomitee, vastavalt ERKÜ kodukorrale, avaldab siinjuures kandidaatide nimistu XXII Esinduskokku. Nimistu põhineb kandidaatide sooviavaldustest, millised jõudsid Peakomitee pädevusse ülesseatud tähtpäevaks,    milleks oli 31. märts, 2018.a. Kandidaatide nimed tehakse teatavaks ajalehes “Vaba Eesti Sõna’’. Peale nimistu ilmumist ajalehes, antakse 10 päeva aega vastulausete esitamiseks kandidaatide kohta. Esitus peab olema kirjalik, aadresseeritud Peakomitee esimehele. Seejärel ilmub ajalehes “Vaba Eesti Sõna” ja ERKÜ veebilehel, www.estosite.org , kandidaatide tutvustamine. Valimissedelid saadetakse lihtposti teel kõigile koju, kellede nimed on ERKÜ andmebaasis. Valimissedeleid võib juurde saada Valimiste Peakomitee esimehe käest.

The Election Committee, in accordance with EANC bylaws, submits herewith the list of candidates to the XXII Council. The list is based on the candidate applications, which arrived at the Committee by the preannounced deadline of March 31, 2018. After the list has been published in the “Free Estonian Word” newspaper, there will be a 10 day period to allow for written comments regarding any candidate on the list, to be sent to the Election Committee Chair. Thereafter, the final list of candidates, with their introductions, will be published in the “Free Estonian Word” and on the EANC’s website, www.estosite.org. Ballots will be mailed to all who are in the EANC’s database. Additional ballots may be obtained from the Election Committee Chair.
